Some routes don’t appear on any map.
You build them, choice by choice — navigating complexity, crafting clarity,
and sailing with FileMaker as your compass.

I wasn’t supposed to organize another event.

After the Rome FileMaker Week, I told myself: “This was the last one.”
Not because I didn’t love it — but because I didn’t want to repeat it.
And honestly, I was tired of the same old format.

Big rooms. Big stages. Big effort. But then… nothing happens. Not really.

The right people never get to speak. The curious ones stay silent. The coffee is bad. And the food — well, we’re in Italy. You can’t mess that up and expect applause.

So I waited. Until a different idea took shape.

🧭 What if the problem wasn’t the event itself — but the way we do events?

I’m a developer.
I’m also an entrepreneur.
And now I lead the European team of one of the biggest custom FileMaker solution companies in the world.

So I’ve seen all sides: speaker, listener, sponsor, organizer, partner, outsider, mentor.

I know the frustration of sitting through content that doesn’t fit your level.
I know the joy of a talk that suddenly clicks.
I know how a hallway conversation can teach you more than a keynote.
And I know how hard it is to design just the right format.

But what if we didn’t try to fix the conference?
What if we replaced it?

🌊 Enter the FileMaker Experience

In October 2025, we’re heading to Naples.
And we’re not building a conference.
We’re building a week-long immersive experience — one that puts humans, stories, and tools in the same place.

It’s called:

Secrets of the FileMaker Seas

Because it’s not about passive learning.
It’s about navigation. Exploration. Direction.
Knowing that we all face complexity — and it’s time to face it together.

🧩 What are we really doing?

We’re designing a week where:

  • Sessions become Ports – 2-hour guided experiences, not stage talks

  • Sponsors bring solutions – not pitches, but real tools to use

  • Gamification runs deep – from bugs to bottled messages, there’s fun in the details

  • Food and coffee matter – no compromises, ever

  • Themes are lived – from the map to the mechanics, you’re inside a story

  • Collaboration is layered – with space to build, to rest, to play, to reflect

  • Remote access is meaningful – not a side thought, but integrated by design

  • You don’t walk from room to room — you move through a route

We’re mixing technical mastery with human curiosity.
We’re treating complexity like something to be lived, not feared.
We’re letting sponsors become part of the expedition, not just its funders.
We’re giving space to new voices — and setting a stage that doesn’t look like a stage at all.

This is not chaos.
This is care, design, and intention.
Every Port has a purpose. Every element is part of the journey.

🎯 Why?

Because I don’t believe in doing things halfway.
If I bring people together, I want them to feel it was worth the plane ticket, the hotel night, the time away from their keyboard.

I want them to remember something — not just learn it. And maybe laugh a little. And of course eat something that doesn’t come in plastic wrap.

So yes, we’re doing it again.
But this time, it’s exactly what we wish someone else had done.

Whether you’re a developer, a team leader, a curious mind, a dreamer or a builder —
there’s a place for you in this map.

See you in Naples.
